Two accidents have occurred in Stockholm’s tunnels and this is currently causing large queues.
Five cars have collided in the Fredhäll tunnel. Three people have stated at the scene that they felt pain.
– You are inside the tunnel and sorting out the situation, says Ola Österling at the Stockholm Police.
Right now there are long queues in Stockholm traffic. Traffic in the Fredhäll tunnel in the northern direction is at a standstill and in the Klara tunnel there is a complete stop at the descent from Sveavägen.
– A truck has got stuck in the Klara tunnel. The truck driver has misjudged the height of the car, says Ola Österling at the Stockholm Police.
There is access from the Central Bridge but it causes queues. The condition of the truck driver’s injuries is currently unclear to the police.
At 11 o’clock on Saturday, the recovery work had begun of the truck that was wedged in the tunnel. There is no forecast for how long it will take.
Stated that they feel pain
In the Fredhäll Tunnel, five passenger cars have collided and three people at the scene have stated that they feel pain. Emergency services and police are on site and working in the tunnels.
