Ruben sees the Cathedral as the ‘voice of the city’. “The bells ring at funerals, Christmas, Easter and other important events,” he explains. “I especially like it when the bells sound at the Early Music festival. It sounds like one big musical instrument.” Ruben not only listens to the bells live, but also has a whole collection of carillon concerts at home. “That sometimes drives them crazy at home.”
