On March 19, a man threw his dog off his third-floor balcony. The incident took place in the state district Limhamn located in Malmö. In their report, the police wrote the following:

“Passers-by see how a man throws a dog out from the third floor of an apartment building on Blåsebergavägen.”

It was some frightened neighbors who had alerted the police and taken the dog straight to the vet. The owner of the dog was immediately suspected of gross animal cruelty.

The dog peed blood – back at its tormentor

Despite this, the dog is only after a few days back with its owner, which SVT Malmö has reported on.

Once at the vet, the neighbors hear that the dog is skinny and peeing blood. The dog also had wounds on its leg from the fall.

The neighbors are informed that the dog will be allowed to live at the kennel in Staffanstorp. However, this was not the case. Just a few days later, one of the neighbors gets a call.

– It’s a girl who calls me and then I look into his apartment and perceive it as him hitting the dog. I call the police who come and arrest him immediately, says the neighbor Teresa to SVT Malmö.

After the neighbor called the police a second time, the dog was released to a close relative.

NEVER give this to your dog – according to the vet

It is the county administrative board in Skåne that decides where the dog will end up. They have received many reports.

– We have received a great many reports, that is, complaints, about this matter. I understand that people are upset, it is a description that sounds very terrible, says Paula Hultgrenhead of the pet unit at the Skåne County Administrative Board, to SVT Malmö.

Despite this, the county administrative board has not yet decided where the dog will end up. According to Hultgren, they are still working on the case.
