It was on June 26 that the police were alerted to a residence in central Eskilstuna. In the indictment, it appears that the man allegedly stabbed the dog several times with a knife. According to the preliminary investigation, this led to great suffering for the dog, which then bled to death and died on the spot in connection with the arrival of the police patrol.
In the police interrogation, the suspect states that he remembers nothing of what happened. According to one of the police officers on the scene, the young man seemed to be in some form of psychosis.
The man, who denies the crime, is also suspected of vandalism and minor drug offences.
