In MMORPGs you usually meet dozens of other players. But that doesn’t mean that MMORPG fans are automatically fans of groups. We at MeinMMO would like to know: Do you prefer to play games alone or do you play games with other people?

Meeting other players, going out together to face new challenges and exchanging ideas in guilds or clans are the actual core concept of MMORPGs. After all, they were created precisely for the multiplayer aspect.

But in recent years there has been a big change. Modern MMORPGs pay more and more attention to offering content for solo players as well.

  • In ESO, for example, you can play the entire story without ever interacting with another human. Questing and leveling in the world is also easy.
  • In Guild Wars 2, the story and the world also work without contact with others. With big world bosses and world events you come into contact with other players, but you don’t necessarily have to exchange ideas with them.
  • Also in WoW, SWTOR or New World there is a lot of content for which you no longer have to contact others.

    • This also makes sense, because many want to switch off while gambling and not also manage other players or deal with their problems, as is often the case with guild leaders.
