It is not relevant for the government to initiate a process to withdraw the Swedish recognition of the state of Palestine after the terrorist group Hamas’ extensive attacks on Israel, states Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M).
– It was a bad unilateral decision when it was made. I don’t think that right now it would be useful or good for Sweden to make new decisions time and again on these kinds of issues, says Kristersson after a visit to the Jewish congregation in Malmö.
It was in 2014 that Palestine was recognized by Sweden as a state on the initiative of the government, which then consisted of the Social Democrats and the Green Party.
