Destiny 2 veteran wants to play with a new clan but is kicked out because he doesn’t play the meta

In Destiny 2 there are many types of players and clans that you like and don’t like to meet. One type of this takes the place of sweaters who want to complete everything perfectly and with maximum efficiency. A Destiny 1 veteran had to painfully discover that unfortunately not every type of player is up for a relaxed game of Destiny.

Who was affected? Reddit user TeacherSalary posted his experience in Destiny 2 with a new clan he found. The user comes from Destiny 1 and had his clan there, but now had to look for a new one because it gradually fell silent in the first year of Destiny 2.

For this reason, TeacherSalary was looking for a squad in the infamous LFG (Looking for Group) to complete Crota, the latest Legacy raid. He quickly found a group and a player who explained all the phases to him and even invited him to join an active clan – exactly what he was looking for.

He then found himself in an active clan, with lots of players, a Discord server, frequent raids and good admins who managed everything. In addition, the clan was set to be “relaxed”, so Teacher knew what to expect, but things were to turn out differently.

In Destiny, there are some players who don’t just play for “fun”.

How did the story end? TeacherSalary was asked after the Crota run if he would be up for a frontrunner twilight. Even though he had never completed one before, he took action. The run was a success and the Guardians emerged victorious after the first attempt. Still, his comrades mocked him for his loadout.

He allegedly had the “wrong” weapons and elements with him and thus dragged the squad down. According to him, that would have been the first drop that catapulted him out of bounds. The final straw that broke the camel’s back was a raid run in the Deepstone Crypt. As a warlock, he didn’t play a fountain, but rather the nova bomb.

Because of this, the squad was unable to defeat the final boss in the first phase, which infuriated the squad leader. He wanted to restart the phase, but Teacher insisted on defeating the boss in the same run since a wipe made no sense. They now defeated Taniks in the 2nd round and then said goodbye.

A day later, Teacher was outraged to discover that he had been kicked out of the Discord channel and the clan without being given a reason.

Although this practice is very surprising, many Guardians have gone through one or another similar experience. Teacher believes it was because of his backtalk and the way he played Destiny 2.

Are players always like this in Destiy 2? As in any game, you will either meet the relaxed people you want to have around you or the sweaters who want to complete every activity with perfection and without mistakes.

If you meet the latter, things can quickly become uncomfortable, as such guardians usually don’t know how to joke. If you make a mistake in their presence, you will be mocked, put down and, as in this blatant case, perhaps even kicked out of the squad or clan.

Don’t let that get you down, if you still come across such players, do yourself a favor and leave the squad. They are not worth the nerves and stress. Destiny 2 is for fun, not for winning a prize.
