Destiny 2 unveils massive Exo updates for Season 22 and nerfs its latest ability

In the coming Season 22, Destiny 2 will revise a total of 12 underused armor exotics and change their benefits, as well as adjust some abilities such as the Arc Titan and Strand. We’ll show you what armor parts and abilities they are and what they can do after the general overhaul.

What are the changes? On August 9th, Bungie previewed upcoming Season 22 changes to currently underused armor exotics on its website.

  • The focus of the changes are a total of 12 exos that are currently not frequently used by the guardians in any game mode, such as “Enemy Finder”, “Holy Fire Heart” or the “Geomag Stabilizers”.
  • From Season 22, however, they should become “more useful and powerful” again, as Bungie announced. Four pieces of exotic armor each are optimized for the hunter and the warlock. The Titans even have six refreshed Exo options.

The adjustments to the skills for Season 22 in Lightfall are a little less pleasant.

  • Bungie will be revamping several “strand” aspects and fragments for all classes.
  • The Titans are expecting multiple nerfs to their Barricade and Arc ability.
  • Warlocks can be happy about that. A bug that has existed for over a year is finally fixed in Season 22.
  • Destiny 2 shows new insights into Strang – The Focus in Lightfall in its trailer

These revised Exotics await you in Season 22

With the start of the new Season 22 on August 22nd, a total of 12 updated Exo armor pieces will be introduced. Most of the changes are appended in addition to the already existing effects. However, there are also some that have been completely revised.

    Enemy Finder – Headgear

Nothing will change on the perk of the Exo for the time being. However, Bungie is adding the effects of the Monochromatic Maestro artifact mod, popular in Season 19, to the enemy finder.

  • After dealing damage with any subclass ability to an enemy, it grants a damage bonus to weapons with an appropriate energy type. When that enemy is then defeated, a collectible associated with that subclass will appear, such as “Ionian Traces” for Arkus or “Fire Spirits” for Solar.
  • Dumbass Radar – Headguard

The dimwitted radar becomes a 2 in 1 Exo. Its previous functionality will be completely removed. In return, he gains the existing benefits of the enemy finder exotic.

  • So he visually marks targets, does more damage to targets with low health, and provides a small benefit to the effectiveness of all airborne weapons.
  • The Improved Sensors perk is retained, so it displays a radar when aiming and improves radar resolution when crouching.
  • Renewal Grips – Armguard

    The Hunter Exo “Renewal Grips”

The exotic armguard has lost a lot of popularity since a nerf. That’s why Bungie is now rowing back.

  • Removed the increased cooldown applied to Dawn Field grenades while using Renewal Grips.
  • Lucky Berry – Chest Armor

As the name suggests, this exotic was a gamble. Arc Flash Grenade’s chain abilities could, but didn’t have to, trigger.

  • In Season 22, the Exo will retain its arc flash grenade chain abilities, but it’s also said to be a lot more reliable thanks to Bungie’s tweaking of energy gains.
  • The Exo also creates Ionic Trails when you shake an enemy.
  • Each ion trail gives additional grenade energy.
  • Your grenades also gain the ability to stun ÜberCharge champions.
  • Warlock

These Exo changes await Warlocks in Season 22

    Astrocyte Verse – Headgear

This Exo gets two more functions.

  • If you use the short teleport, enemies near you will flee from season 22 onwards. So as you continue teleporting, you set off a series of explosions behind you.
  • In addition, the teleport of the void super “Nova Warp” no longer consumes super energy.
  • Geomag Stabilizers – Leg Armor

Many Guardians had hoped that this Exo would regain its ancient ability to gain super energy from sprinting. But Bungie wants to avoid the old and “pretty ridiculous gameplay” in the future. Instead, you get another option.

  • Starting with Season 22, equipping the Geomag Stabilizers and picking up an Ionic Trace will grant you additional Super Energy.
  • Wings of the Holy Dawn – Chest Armor

These wings could be seen more often in Destiny 2 from Season 22 onwards

With this Exo, the Warlock becomes an “orbital weapon platform” in Season 22. Instead of the state of limbo ending when reloading, as before, you can now compensate with your solar weapons.

  • Starting in Season 22, when you’re aiming through scopes, kills automatically trigger solar weapon reloads, including the weapons you’re currently using directly from reserves.
  • Bungie recommends that Warlocks try the Xenophage Exo-weapon with it.
  • Winterlist – Armguard

The way it increases its melee damage through melee kills hasn’t made this exo a good choice so far. But in Season 22, Bungie will bring stasis into play here.

  • The Exo gains an advantage when using Stasis. If your opponents are engulfed in the stasis melee Penumbra Explosion, then when you equip the Winterlist Exo, they will automatically be crushed after a short delay.
  • On the next page you will find the Titan Exotics revamp, as well as the ability adjustments that Bungie is bringing to the game in Season 22.
