The best counters to defeat Arlo

Once you’ve found Arlo, you can start your fight against his team. Before doing this, however, you should think carefully about which Pokémon you want to use at all. With the help of the Pokébattler overview, we have summarized the best counterattacks against the respective monsters below (via pokebattler.com).

Defeating Charmander – Best counters against the 1st Pokemon

In the first turn, Arlo only has one Pokémon available: Charmander. So, you will definitely encounter the Fire-type monster. Charmander is particularly weak against Water, Rock, and Ground-type attacks.

  • Mega Slowmouse with Aquagun and return
  • Defeating Charizard and Mabbler – Best counters against the 2nd Pokemon

In second position, Arlo can choose from the monsters Charizard and Maverick, as well as a currently unknown Pokémon. Which monster you meet remains a coincidence. Use the following counters for these Pokémon:

How to defeat Charizard: Charizard is a Fire and Flying Pokémon. It is therefore particularly weak against Rock-type attacks, but Electric and Water-type attacks also give it problems.

  • Defeat Gardevoir, Steelix, and Scizor – Best counters against the 3rd Pokemon

For the last Pokémon, Arlo can again choose from three different monsters: Gardevoir, Steelix or Scizor. Again, it is random which Pokémon you will fight.

How to defeat Gardevoir: Gardevoir is one of the last two developments of Trasla. It is from the 3rd generation and belongs to the types Psycho and Fee. Because of this, it is weak against Poison, Ghost, and Steel-type attacks.

  • This is how you find Arlo

In order to fight Arlo, you first need a full Rocket Radar. This consists of the 6 mysterious parts that you get when fighting each Rocket Bully. Once you have collected all 6 parts, you can assemble and activate the radar. It will help you find Arlo.

Once you have activated it, the Rocket Radar will be displayed on the right-hand side of the game. You can recognize it by the red R. If you click on the radar, a map will open. On it you can see your surroundings and at which stops a Rocket Boss is located. These are also marked with a red R.

    Rocket radar

If you don’t have a Rocket Boss near you, you can also wait for a balloon. Similar to the Team GO Rocket Grunts, the bosses spawn in a black balloon up to 4 times a day. The prerequisite for this is that you have activated your Rocket Radar.

Can you find Arlo specifically? No, a specific search for Arlo is unfortunately not possible. The radar only shows you which stops a Rocket Boss is at, not which boss it is.

But once you’ve found Arlo, he’ll stay at this stop all day. Even with the balloons, it is random which boss you get.

    Is Arlo worth fighting?

Here’s why you should fight Arlo: At regular intervals you will receive certain special researches in Pokémon GO, with which you can meet the big Team GO Rocket Boss Giovanni. In order to solve the task, you must have faced Arlo, Sierra and Cliff respectively and defeated these three Rocket bosses.

As a reward, you will receive a black Super Rocket Radar that you can use to track Giovanni. If you don’t currently have a corresponding task, it’s still worth competing against Arlo. You can do this with a complete rocket radar that you can assemble from the mysterious parts of the louts.

With this you can compete against one of the three Rocket bosses Arlo, Sierra and Cliff and look forward to cool rewards. However, Giovanni cannot be tracked down with this radar.

These are the rewards after beating Arlo

Which Shadow Pokémon does Arlo have: The current Pokemon is Shadow Charmander. You will receive this as a reward after defeating Arlo and have the opportunity to catch it. With a bit of luck, you might even come across a dazzling specimen.

More rewards: But encountering Crypto Charmander is not the only reward after a fight with Arlo. As with other rocket battles, you will receive various items. You should also make sure that there is free space in your egg storage before the fight, because you can look forward to a 12 km egg as a reward from the Rocket bosses.

You can only get these eggs from Arlo, Sierra, Cliff, and Giovanni. In addition, they often contain interesting and rare monsters. For this reason, hatching is worthwhile. We have summarized for you here which monsters can currently be found in the 12 km eggs.
