Originally conceived as a Star Wars film, Zack Snyder’s (300) blockbuster Rebel Moon comes to Netflix this year and tells one of the most compelling and original genre stories in a long time. Now a new video gives a first glimpse behind the scenes.

In Rebel Moon, a small moon wants itself by the brutal tyrant Admiral Noble (Ed Skrein from Deadpool). The young Kora (Sofia Boutella) tries to put together a powerful fighting force for the uprising and meets, among others, the veteran General Titus (Djimon Hounsou) and the mercenary Kai (Charlie Hunnam).

It shouldn’t be just a single film on Netflix. It is now known that Rebel Moon will become a whole trilogy with Rebel Moon 2 and Rebel Moon 3. There are no release dates for the sequels yet.

When is the first Rebel Moon part coming to Netflix?
