Danny Saucedo sang his way into the hearts of the TV viewers and was the first to advance to the finals in part four. He dedicated his fifth appearance in Mello to his two-month-old son Nahuel.
The other finalist, Johanna “Dotter” Jansson, has gone directly to the final in Melodifestivalen in both 2020 and 2021.
This year’s contribution is her fourth in Melodifestivalen. She suffered during the week from vocal problems due to a cold, something that was not significantly noticeable during Saturday evening.
– I love you, she exclaimed between the verses during the second performance of her contribution “It’s not easy to write a love song”.
“Darling house”
The fourth competition took place in Eskilstuna, or as Carina Berg called the town: Älsklingstuna. It began with a tribute from Björn Gustafsson to Eskilstuna’s pride – the music group Kent. Together with his brother Oscar on guitar, Gustafsson performed the band’s song “Gravitation”.
– Thank you Eskilstuna for Kent, said Björn Gustafsson after the performance.
Mello debutants Albin Tingwall, known from the TV4 program Idol, and the metal duo and upstart Scarlet go to the qualifying final, which takes place during the fifth and final part of the competition next week in Karlstad.
