Dancing with the Stars 2024: the launch of season 13 hit by scandal, production forced to act

Dancing with the Stars 2024 the launch of season 13

9:04 p.m. – Not all the stars present this evening!

On this first prime, not all the stars will dance. Indeed, it would have taken too long to pass the 12 candidates in a single show. Only half of the couples will appear tonight. Thus, Caroline Margeridon announced via her Instagram account that she would only appear next week: “Loves, meet at 9:10 p.m. this evening on TF1 for the first part of the Dals season 13 prime!! My performance will only happen on the second part which we are filming this evening and which will be broadcast next Friday. Can’t wait to show you what I’m capable of.”

20:51 – A new addition to the jury

Quebec and France are a great love story in Dancing with the Stars. In addition to Jean-Marc Généreux, a historic pillar who is back in the show as a juror after several seasons of absence, this year the jury welcomes Mel Charlot. The choreographer and artistic director has worked for the biggest artists, including Beyoncé, Cardi B, Kanye West, and Pharrell Williams. Mel Charlot said he could bring to the show his “good energy, my expertise but also my competition experience… I did a lot of competition before entering the industry and working with the artists.”

20:23 – A former jury member in the pro dancers

Nicolas Archambault, who spent a season as a judge in 2017, is back this year among the professional dancers. The contemporary dancer, choreographer and actor from Quebec left the show after only one season in order to “dedicate himself to his various professional projects, particularly in audiovisual production and shows.” Since then, he has notably co- produced a series and toured a musical. He will dance with the singer Coeur de Pirate.

19:58 – We already know all the couples from this season!

Even before the start of this season, production revealed how this season’s couples were made up. We give them all to you: Adeline Toniutti and Adrien Caby, Caroline Margeridon and Christian Millette, Natasha St-Pier and Anthony Colette, Black M and Elsa Bois, Keiona and Maxime Dereymez, Cristina Cordula and Jordan Mouillerac, Diane Leyre and Yann-Alrick Mortreuil , Coeur de Pirate and Nicolas Archambault, James Denton and Candice Pascal, Inès Reg and Christophe Licata, Nico Capone and Inès Vandamme, Roman Doduik and Ana Riera.

7:35 p.m. – A first scandal even before the show starts!

Since the announcement on January 25 of the presence of Nico Capone in the casting, messages of hatred and grossophobic insults against the influencer have flourished, to the point that the production had to publish a press release in order to to appeal to reason. She also blocked comments under posts from her account and that of the show on TikTok. Nico Capone also took to his social networks, as reported by Le Parisien, to implore people’s kindness: “This is going too far, friends! Please, I have a family, be lenient and respectful, at least to them.”
