Customs seized over 800 kilos of narcotics – two Strängnäs residents are charged

It was during last year that the Swedish Customs Service began an investigation into the drug mess. By following a truck, several premises, apartments and people came into focus. During the end of last year, several seizures were made in the Stockholm and Södertälje area of ​​a total of 820 kilos of narcotics.

These include 603 kilos of cannabis, 196 kilos of amphetamine and 18 kilos of cocaine. The street value of the seizure is estimated at over SEK 130 million.

The Swedish Customs Service writes in a press release that the crimes have connections to the criminal network led by the so-called “Kurdish fox”.

Two suspects from Strängnäs

Today, seven men and one woman are charged at Attunda district court. The suspects were born between 1963 and 1997, two of them are from Strängnäs.

Among the defendants are the instigator and organizer, but also couriers and helpers. The suspected crimes include, among other things, particularly serious drug smuggling, incitement to particularly serious drug smuggling and particularly serious drug offences.

All suspects deny wrongdoing.
