Biltema currently has 61 department stores and 1,700 employees around the country.
In a post on the company’s Facebook page announced that another store will be opened in the spring of 2025. They have then set their sights on opening another store in Malmö. However, this has been received with mixed delight among customers.

Criticism of Biltema: “Senseless”
Several customers have reacted to the decision to place the store so close to an already existing one. Instead, many wish for a new store located in other locations in Skåne.
“Ystad would have been much better,” writes one person.
“It would have been nice to have a store in the southeast corner of Skåne instead,” writes another.
Others would rather have a newly opened store in completely different locations in Sweden than in Scania.
“What will happen to Krokom then?”, wonders another.
“You are welcome to open a smaller Biltema at Stenhagen in Uppsala for those of us who live on that side of the town and the country, so that you don’t have to drive around half the county and the city to get to the one over there by Boländerna. Would have been cruel”.
