An important announcement came from the Cupra front for the entry-level electric model, which we met as a concept under the name UrbalRebel.

Cupra’s near-term product range continues to take shape, taking on a role ahead of Seat in the Volkswagen Group’s electric era. The brand, which recently introduced the ready-to-mass production version of Tavascan, also made an important announcement for the most affordable model to be put into production in 2025. It has been announced that the model, which we saw in concept form as UrbanRebel in the past, will be on the road under the name Cupra Raval, with the move to mass production. We can say that the technical framework for Raval, which has been announced to be delivered to the end user by staying mostly loyal to UrbanRebel as a design, has become clear to a large extent.

Technical prospects for Cupra Raval

Cupra Raval, which will be built on the new generation compact MEB platform of the Volkswagen family, will be close to Seat Ibiza in terms of dimensions. The model, which will be positioned ahead of Ibiza on the wheelbase side, will thus be able to offer interior living space above its segment. The model, which is expected to have approximately 230 horsepower with its single electric motor version, will take around 7 seconds to reach 0 to 100. On the battery side, if there is no major change, a unit with a capacity of 57 kWh is expected. The reflection of this infrastructure, which offers a range of up to 440 kilometers at the best rate, to Cupra in mass production is curious. Raval, which is planned to be produced in facilities in Spain, is expected to hit the road with a price target of 25 thousand euros.
