65-year-old Şaban Kılıç, who lives in Boyabat district of Sinop, is struggling with diabetes as well as skin cancer. Kılıç, who cannot receive treatment in health institutions in Boyabat and Sinop, is looking for a cure in Samsun.
Stating that the right side of his face was completely melted, Şaban Kılıç said, “I live in Boyabat district of Sinop. I applied to all hospitals there and in Samsun. They told me to go to university.
My situation is very bad. I am suffering so much. My face is melting like wax. My eyes are running. My wound is getting bigger and bigger. My face is still bleeding.
“I pay a thousand TL a month just to renew bandages,” he said.
Stating that he slept in hospital corridors and canteen gardens because he had no one and no money in Samsun, Kılıç said, “I learned about my disease when I went to the dermatologist in Boyabat. Since I cannot get treatment there, I look for a cure in Samsun. I have no place to sleep. I have no one. I am miserable. I was sleeping in the hotel, and when I ran out of money, I started to stay in the hospital corridor on a wheelchair. I’m feeling teary-eyed, I don’t have much time left. “I want my hospitalization to be done as soon as possible,” he said.
Retired citizen Şaban Kılıç, who applied to hospitals in Samsun, is waiting for help from the authorities to receive treatment.
