FRANCE COVID SITUATION. The Covid epidemic started to rise again slightly in September. The incidence rate is down over the majority of the territory but is stabilizing in certain regions. [Mis à jour le 9 septembre 2022 à 11h02] The case of contamination to Covid-19 rose slightly again in September (+6%). “In metropolitan France, if the incidence rate was still falling in the majority of the territory, a
stabilization of the latter was observed in 5 regions” noted Public Health France in its last epidemiological point of September 8. It remained the highest in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur (-10%) followed by Corsica (-31%), territory where the decrease was particularly strong. Rates of new hospitalizations have declined in most regions. An increase was observed in Pays de la Loire and an stabilization in Burgundy-Franche-Comté. In Overseas France, the incidence rate was down in all territories with the exception of The Martinique where it stabilized (214, +2%). Although declining, it remained raised in Reunion (536, -34%). The border health control system has been lifted since August 1, 2022, in accordance with the law putting an end to the exceptional regimes created to fight against the epidemic linked to Covid-19. There is no longer a classification of countries by color and instructions specific to each territory. The rules previously applied to travelers to France no longer apply:
- travelers no longer have to complete any formalities before their arrival in France, in mainland France and overseas, and the presentation of the “sanitary pass” can no longer be required, regardless of the country or area of origin;
- no further proof of travel (the “compelling reason”) can be required;
- travelers no longer have to present a sworn statement of non-contamination and a commitment to undergo an antigenic test or a biological examination on arrival in the national territory.
- no longer any justification for a trip departing from France, in mainland France and overseas, no certificate of leaving the territory is required by the French authorities to go to another country.
