CORONAVIRUS FIGURES. The cases of coronavirus recorded in France still exceed the 400,000 mark. “We have undoubtedly passed the hardest part of this wave” declared Gabriel Attal. However, at the hospital the situation remains very tense. The number of people who are hospitalized is the highest we have seen since the beginning of this epidemic. The intensive care pressure continues to decline overall, although it remains very high.” continued the government spokesman. “We probably passed the hardest part this wavehe reassured. The circulation of SARS-CoV-2 continues to increase at a very high level. France recorded 416 896 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The hospitalizations are up almost 9%. The Omicron variant, predominant throughout the countryreplaces the Delta variant: in week 03, the suspicion of cases of the Omicron variant was “greater than 95% in all regionswith a minimum of 97% in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and a maximum of 99% in Ile-de-France” says Santé Publique France. How many French people are vaccinated against Covid?

Vaccination against Covid-19 continues to continue in France with vaccines Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Janssen. At February 01according to Ministry of Health, 54,003,768 people received at least one injection (i.e. 80.1% of total population) and 52,748,008 people now have a full immunization schedule (i.e. 78.2% of the total population). 35,708,713 people have also received a booster dose. 19.7% of the French population is not vaccinated against Covid. the January 31, 94% of the adult population had received at least one injection and 92% of the adult population had a complete vaccination schedule.

78.2% of the French population is fully vaccinated and 19.7% is not vaccinated (the others having a still incomplete vaccination schedule). Twice a month, the Data-gouv.fr site publishes the distribution of positive Covid cases according to the person’s vaccination. “This delay is necessary for the vaccination to be considered complete and effective (at +7 days) and for the data on the tests to be consolidated” specifies the site. These indicators reflect the number of positive RT-PCR tests per 100,000 vaccinated or unvaccinated people aged 20 and over.

How many Covid deaths in France?

Government and Public Health France sites report Covid deaths in hospitals and in social and medico-social establishments, i.e. 131 312 to February 01, 2022. Covid deaths outside these structures are not recorded in real time.

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, theInsee recorded a “exceptional mortality in 2020” with almost 669,000 deaths from all causes, i.e. 56,000 more deaths than in 2019 (+9%).

According to’INED68,000 deaths are attributable to the Covid epidemic in 2020.
