Continued major disruptions in commuter train traffic – SL: “Affects all lines”

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

During the week, SVT Nyheter Stockholm reported on the commuter train chaos in the county. Staff shortages have led to canceled departures and reduced flight frequency.

– What happens is that SL orders traffic from MTR and they are tasked with operating the traffic range that SL orders. When they don’t have resources in place, we can’t run traffic, says Helene Jakobsson, press spokesperson at SL.

But as a client, how do you feel about not getting the traffic you ordered?

– Of course, we take the issue seriously and that we have travelers who are affected, that is not what is meant.

– My view is that it affects all lines.

“Will affect traffic this week”

SL’s forecast is that the traffic chaos will continue over the weekend and next week, and it affects, among other things, the traffic to Arlanda.

What measures can you take?

– I cannot comment in detail on how the talks look, but of course we have an ongoing dialogue with MTR on the matter. We know that it will affect travelers during the weekend and the coming week, says Helene Jakobsson.

SVT is looking for MTR.
