Community criticizes Twitch streamer for intentionally destroying matches in LoL

Toxic behavior and trolling are always an issue in League of Legends. The community is now criticizing the streamer lolmalice.

It’s sometimes like that with League of Legends or other games. There is always toxic behavior and it probably always will be.

There are also players who intentionally buy troll items, go AFK, intentionally feed the opponent – and/or show toxic behavior in the chat, for example. In such moments the game can quickly become an unbalanced balance of power.

A clip sparks discussion

The community denounces LoL streamer lolmalice for intentionally destroying matches. The Twitch streamer plays solo queue and is currently in master with 535 LP (as of December 26, 2023 via op.gg). He often plays Udyr, Blitzcrank and Karthus. He had a game with the latter, for which he was heavily criticized by the Reddit community.

Streamer buys troll items instead of fighting for the comeback

What exactly was he criticized for? In this clip you can see that the game didn’t go very well for the Twitch streamer. With 5/19 and around 8,000 gold less, they are significantly weaker compared to their opponents in minute 19. Overall, the situation looks bad: toplaner Jax with 1/4/0, lolmalice as jungle Karthus 1/4/1 and the supporter Braum is also not doing particularly well with 0/4/1.

But instead of hoping for a possible turnaround, lolmalice probably went one better by selling all of his AP items including boots on Karthus and instead purchasing so-called troll items for his champion by getting the Mobi boots, Dead Man’s Plate and Winged Moonplate increased.

The items don’t do much for him on Karthus, which is why the term troll items is appropriate. Because Karthus benefits from his AP damage, especially with his ultimate and his high single-target damage with his Q.

In addition: If you buy items and then leave the base (fountain/spawn), you can no longer get the full price back when you sell the items again. Only if you buy items and then notice at the base that it was a bad purchase will you get the full price refunded.

LoL players criticize streamer, call him toxic

This is what the community says about the streamer: The LoL community’s reactions didn’t take long to arrive and can be found under the Reddit post. Many were critical of the behavior.

We have summarized a few comments for you:

  • The top comment from Norasack refers to lolmalice’s stream title: stream title “Soloq chilling” 💀.
  • rollin43v3r is of the opinion: This is not new. He is a man child and toxic.
  • Itismejustadmitit chimes in: He literally does this every 2-3 days for the last 3 years. Absolutely crazy that he hasn’t been banned yet considering how often he does it.
  • It remains to be seen whether Riot Games will respond to this. However, dissatisfaction within the community seems obvious at the moment.
