Call of Duty: Warzone Mid-Season 4 is online. We browse through the patch notes with you and show you the highlights of the new content, balancing changes and the most important details about the update.

Call of Duty: Warzone runs a live season system and regularly brings new, free content into the game. Usually via a season and a mid-season update.

At 6 p.m. on July 27, Mid-Season 4 went online. There were new game modes, fresh cosmetics, balance adjustments and live events that will accompany you over the next four weeks.

MeinMMO summarizes the most important information from the patch notes. Here’s a quick overview of Mid-Season 4 without much detail.

By the way, right at the start of Mid-Season 4 there is a new zombie mode on Rebirth Island, we include the trailer for it here:

CoD Warzone: Update 1.60 – Update & Patch Notes

  • PS5: 4.6GB
  • PS4: 4.6GB
  • Xbox Series: 4.5GB
  • Xbox One: 4.5GB
  • PC: 5.8GB

  • What about Vanguard? Mid-Season 4 has been live in Vanguard since Tuesday night. You can find the English patch notes from developer Sledgehammer (via sledgehammergames.com).

    CoD Warzone: Mid-Season 4 – Content & Playlist

What’s in the update? Right at the start, the new zombie mode “Rebirth of the Dead” will be online. Killed players do not go into revival, but come back to the map as a zombie and can fight for their “life” again.

This is very similar to the Halloween event 2020, when you were already shuddering over the map as a zombie:

Halloween in CoD Warzone is the best event that has ever destroyed my matches

The mode will remain in rotation for two weeks and from August 11th the “Titanium Trails” will go online, which are based on the popular Iron Trails modes.

Instead of “Iron” there is now “Titanium” because the whole thing runs together with a crossover: Warzone is working together with the Terminator.

Matching this, two skin bundles come online with a Terminator theme. There will also be a live event running where you can earn free cosmetics, such as Terminator-themed business cards:

    Other new content:

  • In-Match Event: Cursed Chests Fortune’s Keep
  • Special crates with good loot appear that spawn a zombie horde.
  • Portable Redeploy Balloon
  • You can loot such balloons and use them anywhere. However, they are not quite as strong as the stationary balloons.
  • Bombers on Caldera
  • The bombers are back in the game, but the developers are keeping a close eye on whether the new planes fit in now.
  • New assault rifle Vargo-S
  • The weapon was previously proclaimed as a meta candidate based on the developer’s description: “This rifle trades firepower for improved accuracy and rate of fire, and excels in mid- and long-range combat.”
  • We include the playlist for the next four weeks here:

    CoD Warzone: Mid-Season 4 – Balancing

If you want to take a look at the English patch notes yourself, you can find them at developer Raven Software (via ravensoftware.com).

Mid-Season 4 doesn’t necessarily shine with a lot of new content, but it does bring special game modes that remain online over the four weeks and have live events in tow.

A lot has also changed with the weapons, which often brings a new dynamic to the matches. As soon as the first players have put their hands on it and formed an opinion on the changed weapons, we will revise our list with the best weapons of Warzone.

Until then, let us know what you think of Mid-Season 4 and leave a comment.
