Furthermore, Mark explains his thoughts on a marriage and on the conditions of life.

– There is so much in a life, you develop, things change, you have children, the children grow, the children move. In a family, you have to have a dynamic relationship with each other, as roles develop and needs change. And there I think that a marriage can be subjected to quite a lot of testing.

Malou asks if Mark considers the situation a trial in life and Mark agrees and quotes Märta Tikkanen.

“Not from a lack of love but from the despair of love”.

But an end is not yet on the map for the couple. Mark says that through therapy they are trying to resolve and understand how the relationship should look in the future.

– You end up in a situation where you can’t really reach each other. We know that we have a common foundation, a very nice marriage. How do we find our way back to it? We’ll see now.

Mark’s good friend Pirjo Lehmussalmi, attended the interview and was told about the relationship with Mark. When Malou asked Pirjo if she was surprised by the decision, she responded emotionally.

– Yes, you could probably say that, I became one. I learned that from Jonas. It was just so, okay. I’m divorced myself so I know. But I think that in long-term relationships, love can change to a different kind of love.
