Close friend Arina: “Soha’s death must not be in vain”

Arina Zaher and Soha Saad got to know each other in high school a couple of years ago when they were in the same class.

Arina Zaher has a hard time accepting that her friend is gone.

– She was kind-hearted and goal-driven. And that is what hurts so much, she says.

Another who knew Soha Saad is Sara Samara. They first went to primary school together, then they also studied at the same time at Uppsala University.

– I can relate so much to her. We grew up in the same area, have the same background and chose the same profession. I want her to be remembered and not just another number in the statistics.

In an attention-grabbing post on social media, which received more than 25,000 likes and over 700 comments, she writes about her friend Soha.

– I was so angry, shocked and sad when I found out it was her so I just wanted to vent and write down my feelings. Then I woke up this morning and saw that a lot of people got in touch and reacted to my post.

Soha was a newly graduated teacher. Sara Samara also works within the school.

– I will continue to use my voice and teach my students how important it is to be heard. It’s the least I can do, she says.
