City celebrated the treble in pouring rain in Manchester

The victory celebrations were initially delayed by a thunderstorm but once it passed the open buses rolled out with the team in the pouring rain on the streets of Manchester.

City completed their treble when they defeated Inter in the Champions League final in Istanbul on Saturday. Before that, the team had won the Premier League title and their second FA Cup title.

The club thus became the first English team to complete a treble since city rivals and arch-enemies Manchester United achieved a similar feat in the 1998-99 season.

The team has been celebrating their season ever since they returned home from Istanbul on Sunday.

— The last 24 hours have been my best day. “Honestly, I don’t think I slept at all,” said City’s Jack Grealish.

According to BBC was Manchester’s hit striker Erling Haaland, who set a new Premier League goalscoring record in the same season, one of several players who, after getting drenched in the rain, took off their clothes and continued the celebration shirtless.

22-year-old Haaland was then the one who led the dancing players as they took to a stage where they received the applause of the fans.
