Chris Evans talks about surprisingly different Marvel returns

Chris Evans last starred as Captain America three years ago. In Avengers 4: Endgame he delivered his farewell performance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Despite one emotional final scene fans have been speculating about his potential return ever since. Evans himself has other ideas.

Captain America star Chris Evans would love to return to the Marvel Universe as Johnny Storm

In a new interview with MTV News, Evans is asked if he ever thought about one day when Johnny Storm a.k.a Human Torch return to the Marvel Universe. Evans played the character in the two 2000s Fantastic Four films long before the MCU was formed.

In the interview, Evans is visibly impressed by the idea.

Wouldn’t that be great? No one has ever come to me with this before. I mean, I don’t look like that anymore either. That was 15, almost 20 years ago. Oh my god I’m old. But I love this character very much. I believe… power [Marvel] not exactly anything [Neues] with the Fantastic Four?

That’s correct. Marvel is currently working on a Fantastic Four reboot. It has long been said that Jon Watts, the director of the recent Spider-Man trilogy, who takes over the staging. But he recently left and is now directing the new Star Wars series Skeleton Crew starring Jude Law at Lucasfilm.

Regardless, Evans’ return as Johnny Storm is definitely a possibility. As? Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness have shown this recently. Thanks to the multiverse, characters from other films that have not yet been part of the MCU canon can easily be brought into the MCU.
