President Joe Biden urges the US House of Representatives to approve significant military aid to Ukraine.

– To support this bill is to stand against Putin. Opposing it plays into Vladimir Putin’s hands, he said.

The US Senate voted through the aid package for Ukraine and Israel. But in the House of Representatives it seems to be stopped – to which Joe Biden again reacts strongly.

History “will judge” those who choose Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump over democracy, he said on Tuesday.

– History is watching, the president said a total of five times in televised comments from the White House after the Senate passed the bill.

Biden also commented on Trump’s actions in which he encouraged Russia to attack NATO members who failed to meet economic commitments.

– For God’s sake, it’s stupid. It’s shameful, it’s dangerous, it’s un-American,” Biden said.

– No other president in our nation’s history has ever bowed to a Russian dictator. And let me say it as plainly as possible: Neither will I.

House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Trump-loyal Republican, said earlier in the day that he might wait weeks or months before letting the House vote on the issue.
