A child has been taken to hospital after walking through the ice on Tjärnasjön in Borlänge.
– It is a child under the age of 10 who went through the ice together with his father and another child. The child is out of the water again and has been taken to hospital in an ambulance, says Lars Hedelin, press spokesperson at the police.
The alarm came in just after 1 p.m. and the emergency services, police and ambulance were sent to the scene. The two people must have been on land when the emergency services arrived, reports SVT Dalarna.
Initially there were reports of two people walking through the ice, but according to the police it was only the child. The extent of the injury is currently unclear.
