Man charged with domestic offenses

A 46-year-old Chatham man is facing charges after Chatham-Kent police responded to a domestic dispute in Chatham on Sunday.

Police said the man left before police arrived, but he was learned an argument took place between the accused and his girlfriend.

The accused allegedly threatened to harm the woman and cause damage to property, police said.

The man was arrested after arriving at police headquarters over the noon-hour on Tuesday, police said.

He was charged with two counts of uttering threats and released with conditions and an Oct. 17 court date, police said.

Outstanding warrants

Chatham-Kent police have caught up to three people wanted on separate outstanding warrants.

Police responded to a suspicious person in the parking lot of a King Street West business at 12:05 pm Tuesday and arrived to find a 38-year-old Chatham woman who was wanted on two warrants, including break and enter and failing to attend court .

She was arrested and taken to police headquarters where she was held pending a bail hearing.
Around 12:30 am, police conducted a well-being check on a 17-year-old Chatham female walking on Wellington Street East in Chatham.

Police said the female was wanted on an outstanding warrant, resulting in her arrest. She was released with a short date.

A man was arrested after police responded to a suspicious person complaint on Talbot Trail in Harwich Township at 12:43 am

Police said the man was wanted on a surety relief warrant, resulting in him being arrested and transported to the Southwest Regional Detention Center in Windsor.
