Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Charlotte Kalla is one of the biggest in Swedish skiing.
But nowadays the 35-year-old is retired from the world of sports.
And the skiing legend seems to be enjoying his new life to the fullest.

She belonged to the world’s elite for a full 16 years and dominated with an incredible 3 Olympic golds, 3 WC golds, 22 championship medals and 37 SM golds. Charlotte Kalla is truly one of our very best skiers ever and a true blue and yellow sports hero.

Called New Life

But last spring the successful career ended and Kalla placed skis together with boots on the famous shelf. During the autumn, a completely new everyday life awaited the 35-year-old who has started studying at Mittuniversitetet in Sundsvall and is very current with the TV program “Let’s Dance”.

She has also not given up skiing completely, but has stepped into a mentor role. But Kalla is enjoying his new existence and the newfound freedom after a long and stressful elite career.
– When I was active, it happened that I was forced to give up both baptism and sun holidays. Everyone had to adapt to me. It’s nice not to have to think about whether what I’m doing is good or bad for skiing, says Charlotte in an interview with the newspaper Allas.

Don’t miss it

Kalla then admits with brutally honest words what she really won’t miss from her skiing career.

Charlotte Kalla must also respond to the image that exists of her as a happy and carefree person who has always delivered her utmost on the ski slopes. But that’s not true, because she too has had setbacks in her life.
– I have learned to lower the level of ambition, not to be so hard on myself and not to worry so much about the future. One of my sisters usually says “rather one thing too little than too much” and that’s an expression I come back to when I try to squeeze too much into life, she tells the newspaper.
