In 417 days, the 33rd Olympiad will begin in Paris. Olympic Games announced as “historic for the climate”. The project is, indeed, ambitious: to reduce the carbon footprint by half compared to London 2012 or Rio 2016. On this World Environment Day, we are wondering about the capacity to organize ecological Olympic Games. Will the stated objectives be achieved? Should we drastically review the model of the Olympics to respond to the climate crisis?
