The Angolan team overthrew that of the Central African Republic 2-1 in group E of the qualifications for the next African Cup of Nations (CAN 2023), this June 1, 2022 in Luanda. The Central Africans opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, then the Angolans scored via M’Bala Nzola (73rd) and Gelson Dala (76th).
