Cameroon: at the Écrans Noirs festival, workshops to train in cinema professions

Cameroon at the Ecrans Noirs festival workshops to train in

In Yaoundé, the Écrans Noirs film festival continues this week, with a program of short and feature films from across the African continent. It is also an opportunity for young people from all over the region to train in cinema professions. Every morning, before the screenings, a free screenwriting workshop is organized in the fresh air, far from the screening rooms with their cozy atmosphere. Lacking access to a film school close to home, some rely entirely on these workshops lasting a few days to train.
