Call of Duty will stay on PlayStation 5

Xbox President Phil Spencer wants Call of Duty to continue on PlayStation.

Microsoft made a big splash this week by announcing that it’s acquiring Activision Blizzard in a $68.7 billion deal. This has caused some to wonder if Activision Blizzard games will be Xbox exclusives in the future, or if some will still come to PlayStation consoles.

The CEO of Microsoft Gaming announced via Twitter that he spoke with Sony this week, confirming Xbox’s intention to honor previous deals once the Activision Blizzard acquisition is complete. He also said that their goal is to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation consoles.

“We had good conversations with the leaders at Sony this week,” Spencer said. “After acquiring Activision Blizzard, I said our intention to comply with all existing agreements and our desire to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation consoles as well. Sony is an important part of our industry and we value our relationship.” said.

From this point of view, we can see that Microsoft, which has been wreaking havoc in the last few days, has also eliminated all the rhetoric about monopolization in the game console industry. We hope that this acquisition will lead Activision, which had many negative statements about it before, to come to a much better position and to offer much better products to us game lovers.
