A child suffered a brain injury in connection with a birth in Kronoberg county. The child was delivered by caesarean section, but this could have been carried out faster, states Region Kronoberg, which has now reported the incident to the Inspectorate for Care and Care (Ivo).
The delay may have been due to a lack of teamwork, the region writes in a press release. The routines at the clinic have now changed to prevent something like this from happening. It is unclear what consequences the brain damage will have for the child, but at the moment the child is developing positively, according to the region.
