Burglary in hunting shop in Östersund

The store’s alarm was triggered at 01:20. It is an alarm that sounds loudly and therefore the police hope that there will be witnesses.

The thieves used tools to get in through the front door. Once inside the store, they smashed a few displays and took, among other things, the binoculars. The value of the stolen items is estimated to be at least half a million kroner.

– They took what is expensive with them, says Ronny Edholm, who works in the store.

Security guards were first on the scene and then the police came, but by then the thieves were already gone.

– We hope that someone will have heard or seen something at the hunting shop last night, says Agneta Brovinius at the police in Östersund. No weapons were stolen in the burglary.
