Built maple compartment in truck tank – tried to bring in 800 kilos of drugs

In the days before Christmas last year, customs struck. During the autumn, they had spied on a gang they suspected of drug smuggling.

In a truck that they suspected, a maple compartment was discovered, which in the investigation will later be described as advanced. When the compartment was opened, the authorities found 200 kilos of cannabis.

In total, over 800 kilos of narcotics were seized, which the convicts had tried to smuggle in in various ways. The street value has been estimated at around SEK 130 million.

Seven people were sentenced to between two and seven years in prison and, according to SVT’s information, the case can be linked to the Foxtrot network.
