Brynäs was knocked out in the first final match: “Furious pace”

Brynäs had 3-0 after seven minutes of play at home against Djurgården.
It laid the foundation for the 6-2 victory they took in the first final match.

Brynäs got a dream start to the final when Tyler Kelleher came at high speed through the middle and from close range he outwitted Viktor Andrén to make it 1-0. It was the start of a dream evening for Kelleher and Brynäs.

– He would probably like to have it back, Andrén, said Johan Tornberg, TV4 expert.

Andrén’s match was only seven minutes old. Because by then Brynäs had sailed up to a 3-0 lead and Michael Holmqvist acted with a change of goalkeeper and a timeout.

It brought Djurgården back into the game in terms of play and late in the first period they got a payoff offensively. Alexander Ytterell bombed in 3-1 after a delicious play by Linus Klasen.

Brynäs shot new momentum in the second period and Greg Scott and Tyler Kelleher filled their goal accounts up to 5-1.

Djurgården scored a consolation in the third period when Anton Gradin sent a backhand that slipped between Damian Clara’s legs, but Djurgården got no closer than that. Brynäs won 6-2 after Djurgården picked out Hugo Hävelid in pursuit of a goal. Tyler Kelleher put the puck into an empty net to complete his hat trick.

Brynäs now leads the final series with 1-0 and the next match will also be played in Gävle, on Friday.
