After four straight victories in the final against Djurgården, Brynäs is ready for the SHL. The stay in the Hockeyallsvenskan was thus short-lived.

Brynäs has been the favorite from the start of this season and they have stood on the podium for the favourites. The basic series was won in style with 17 points down to runner-up Södertälje. In the end, there was no talking. There were twelve wins and one loss.

Tärnström’s double

On Tuesday at Hovet, they got off to a dream start when Oliver Tärnström found the net after 17 minutes of play. At the start of the second period it went away when Greg Scott was served the puck in the slot and from there he was distinct and put it 2-0.

Oliver Tärnström is evidently enjoying himself at Hovet, because 25 seconds later he was cool in a free position with Viktor Andrén and put Brynäs 3-0 into the net.

– Really cool and really nice, said Linus Ölund about Tärnström’s 3-0 goal.

Clara’s great rescue: “Wow”

Djurgården brought life into the match when Edvin Hammarlund found the right from his back position. In the middle of the third period, Kevin Karlsson had a great opportunity for a 2-3 goal, but Damian Clara managed to move over and succeeded with a save that left TV4’s expert, Johan Tornberg, amazed.

– Wow, he exclaimed in the broadcast.

With two and a half minutes left to play, Djurgården selected Viktor Andrén to play with six men in search of an equaliser. They also got the chance to play six against four when Anton Rödin was sent off for a hold.

Djurgården’s forcing was fruitless and when the final whistle blew at Hovet, Brynäs could celebrate that they are back in the SHL.
