Brynäs’ new prestigious signing is complete – the NHL Swede returns to the SHL again: “Always dreamed of it”

Brynäs bounced straight back to the SHL.
Oskar Lindblom took longer to return to the club – but now the NHL star is ready for a move home to Gävle.
“It feels incredibly good, I’ve always dreamed of coming back to Brynäs,” says Lindblom to the club’s website.

The forward has signed for 2 plus 3 years. A prestigious acquisition in Brynäs’ quest to build a strong squad for the return to the top hockey league.

Oscar Lindblom played five seasons in Philadelphia before being traded to San Jose. In total, he played 337 games in the NHL and accumulated 112 points (56+56).

The forward is only 27 years old but thinks it feels right to return to the parent club already now.

“It feels incredibly good, I’ve always dreamed of coming back to Brynäs. To now be able to do it when I’m at a fairly young age where I feel that I can continue to develop feels extra good, I’m very dedicated to this.”

“I’m here to win, the ambition is to eventually be at the top and fight, that’s why I’m coming home. I believe in both the club and the team. I also like the momentum around the association right now and it will be incredibly inspiring to play in front of these supporters again,” says Oskar Lindblom.

He left Brynäs after the SM silver in 2017. That season he accounted for 22 goals and 25 assists in 52 games.
