Broken Destiny may be coming to the PlayStation Plus Premium catalog

Broken Destiny may be coming to the PlayStation Plus Premium

For ultimate PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, Tekken 6 and SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny, two classic fighting games already available on PSP, are rumored to be coming to PS Plus soon.

The highest and most expensive tier of Sony’s gaming subscription service gives gamers access to Ubisoft+ classics and products released for the original PlayStation, PS2, PS3, and PSP consoles. Every month, PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium levels add new games.

Tekken 6 may be coming to the PlayStation Plus Premium catalog

Access to classic PlayStation products is one of the benefits of subscribing to PS Plus Premium. Because physical copies of many PS1, PS2 and PSP games are hard to find and their rarity increases over time. Additionally, many people no longer have the consoles needed to play the games, even if they find a copy. Thanks to subscription services like PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass, gamers no longer have to worry about options when it’s time to choose a new game.

Rumors indicate that two new fighting games will be released

If the rumors are true, it looks like PS Plus Premium members could get two new fighting games soon. As spotted by Gematsu, the Taiwan Digital Game Evaluation Committee recently evaluated Tekken 6 and SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny for PS4 and PS5. These new reviews are assumed to indicate that these two retro games will be added to the PlayStation Plus Classics catalog in the future.

Users may be particularly excited about SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny. Because the game was first released exclusively for PlayStation Portable in 2009. The game had a cameo appearance from God of War’s Kratos and also featured regular characters from SoulCalibur 4. One of the developer’s stated goals was to introduce the series to beginners.

Tekken 6 was also released for the PSP in 2009, but was also released for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The game received generally high ratings from critics and gamers and was nominated for several awards. However, it was competing with Street Fighter 4, which was released on consoles that same year.

While physical versions of Tekken 6 and SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny can still be found at an affordable price, the convenience of transferring them directly to a PS4 or PS5 is key. We think that the rumors of these two games coming to PS Plus have a grain of truth.
