In Moundou, Bongor, Ati, Guelendeng and even in Loumia, ministers have been traveling more and more since this weekend to promote the new Constitution.

The first of them, Saleh Kebzabo, leader of the “yes” coalition, is leading a vigorous tour of the south of the country. After Sarh and Koumra, he was in Doba this Monday, December 4 and will head to Moundou on Tuesday.

Next week, he will extend his meetings in the central and northern regions with the objective, according to one of the executives of this campaign, to mobilize strongly until “ aim for 90% » participation and obtain a “ tsunami » for “yes”.

Traditional leaders are also involved. In a video, the Sultan of the Zaghawas urged to « follow President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno » and qualified federalism “ of diabolical idea coming from those who want misfortune ” from the country.

The defenders of “no” are often accused of separatism, but they do not lower their flag. They held two meetings in the 7th arrondissement this weekend. Their national coordinator, Brice Mbaïmon, assures that the majority of public opinion rejects the text.

Before leaving to tour the regions, he urged voters to withdraw their cards, believing that abstention, advocated by certain opponents, is indirect support for “yes”.
