Media and Culture student Julia Smeding is happy that she is no longer dependent on thick sweaters, a jug and a cup of hot tea. However, she and other students are concerned about the higher energy costs. The energy bill is shared by the entire building. “I wouldn’t be surprised if the heaters cost a lot of energy. And if everyone in such a large building turns on the heater, then the energy bill will also peak,” says Julia.
