The BMW 3.0 CSL project, which will bring a character that has left a mark on automotive history back on the road, will be presented in limited production quantities.
The 50th anniversary celebrations on the BMW front for the “M”, which has taken its place in our minds as the “fastest letter in the world”, continue at the level of drunkenness. The brand, which launched special projects in 2022 to celebrate the stories of its cars where performance limits were pushed, also brought the iconic CSL badge back to life for the first time in 20 years. The revival of the 3.0 CSL, which took its place in history as the “Batmobile” due to its lines in the efficiency-oriented body package of the classic version, is vitally important for the new generation to get to know the vehicle. The twin-turbo powered 3.0-liter machine comes out with 553 horsepower and 550 Nm torque. Although it is positioned at the top in terms of power, it is remarkable that the torque value for the 6-stage manual unit, which comes as standard in the vehicle, has been reduced by 100 Nm compared to the M4 product range. Active M differential lock, adaptive M suspensions and M carbon ceramic brake system will also play a major role in the driving experience, where the power is transmitted to the rear wheels. We will also see carbon fiber-based composite plastic and titanium alloy materials in different parts of the body. The new 3.0 CSL, which has a total weight of 1,624 kilograms with all its parts together, will bring a lighter package to the roads than all versions of the M4 it is based on.
