Blunders malaise scandals The worst of the Cannes Film Festival

Each year, the Cannes Film Festival contains its share of stories. Blunders, falls, scandals… La Croisette is full of anecdotes of all kinds.

In 1987, the French director Maurice Pialat wins the palme d’or for his controversial film “Under Satan’s Sun“. When he receives the prestigious award, the director is booed in the assembly. During his acceptance speech, he does not fail to respond to this controversial reception with a phrase that has remained in the annals of the Festival : “If you don’t love me, I can tell you that I don’t love you either.”
