It was on Wednesday morning last week that Björn Forslund was out on a walk with his dogs on the Onsala peninsula in Kungsbacka municipality.
The walk consists of a small loop located outside his home.
But from a bush cage suddenly an angry wild boar appeared – and accelerated against him.
– I started waving and screaming, because you are scared for the sake of the dogs. And I’ve never heard of wild boars going on people before, he says.
“I stumbled – bit me in the leg”
Björn took a step back.
– Embarrassingly, I stumbled, and then the sow ran forward and bit me in the leg. But she only took a bite, then she went and stood at the grove again.
The wild boar had hidden its cults in the bush at the path.
– She had put them so stupid. She defended her babies, it is very sad.
Björn called his dogs and they went home.
– But I had screamed and gaped so much that a neighbor came out and asked how it was with me. That’s when I felt that I was bleeding pretty much. It splashed in the shoes but I had not reflected on it, he says.
The wound he received after the attack was seven centimeters long and, as Björn describes it, very deep.
He says he was never afraid of his own sake – but for the dogs.
– I am grateful that they did not go ahead and tried to defend me. They also thought it was nasty, they have not been to anything like it before.

The sow and the cults are shot
Shortly after the attack on Björn, a woman was attacked by the same wild boar a bit away.
– She was not bitten, but she was knocked out. She lay down in a fetal position to protect her head, says Björn.
Last Friday, the sow and her cults were shot by the municipality’s protection hunter.
– The hunter told me that he had never been involved in this or heard about it before. The same was with the doctor who had to call the infectious doctor in Halmstad to ask how to do with such a bite, says Björn.
Big problem with wild boar: “People are scared”
Björn Forslund emphasizes that there is a major problem with “wild boar invasion at Onsala”.
– People are afraid. After all, they are in the residential areas and in roaming areas where people are out walking with children and dogs.
– When my wife called the police and wanted to get this illuminated, they thought that if you go out in the evening do not use a flashlight or headlight and do not light the wild boar on the face – and leave the dogs at home. I don’t really know how they think.
