Biography Grichka Bogdanoff TV Host Writer

Grichka Bogdanoff was born 40 minutes after his twin brother Igor August 29, 1949 at the castle of Saint-Lary (Gers). They come from a family of noble Russians, their parent has eight children. Prince Yuri George Mikhailovich Ostasenko-Bogdanoff is the father of the two Bogdanoff brothers and their mother is called Maria Dolores Kolowrat-Krakowská. From a young age, Grichka Bogdanoff has been passionate about science. He was raised by his maternal grandmother along with his many other siblings. This maternal figure is a source of inspiration, she introduced her to astrology.

On December 15, 2021, Grichka Bogdanoff was hospitalized because of the Covid-19, at the Georges Pompidou European Hospital. The disease takes over and he succumbs at the age of 72, Tuesday, December 28, 2021. The two brothers are not vaccinated.

Professional career of Grichka Bogdanoff

It was in 1976 that he published his first popular science work with his brother Igor, Keys to science fiction. A few years later, Grichka Bogdanoff accompanied by his brother presents on TF1 the first television magazine of science fiction, the staging is breathtaking. The two twin brothers are surrounded by a beautiful film set and are dressed in futuristic clothes that do not go unnoticed. Astronomy is another point of interest that they share, at the age of 15, they begin to take an interest in aerial driving. Grichka Bogdanoff and Igor Bogdanov are inseparable, they have a very strong bond that unites them. On television, they continue their momentum by developing and presenting other programs on TF1 on the same theme:

The 2000s begin and the 13e Rue chain welcomes Grichka Bogdanoff and her brother to present a weekly magazine Project X 13, broadcast between 1999 and 2002. In 2002, Grichka Bogdanoff and Igor Bogdanoff are on the air on France 2 to host several scientific magazines:

  • X-rays (2002-2007)
  • Science X (2008)
  • Science 2 (2009)
  • A stone’s throw from the future (2010-2011)

In parallel with their activity of animator, the two Bogdanoff brothers write numerous books and scientific essays, they join forces for this common writing project.

Studies

To go to Paris to study, Grichka Bogdanoff moved from the Gers and in 1974, he obtained a diploma from the Institut d’Études Politiques. In 1990, the two brothers resumed studies at the University of Bordeaux, so Grichka Bogdanoff validated a doctorate in mathematics.
