Biocontrol is how to protect crops against plant enemies, without using chemicals and other means that attack the environment. We go to the biocontrol village, to the show Tech & Bio 2021. This international agricultural fair for organic and alternative techniques is organized this year by the Drôme chamber of agriculture, in the valentin agricultural school in Bourg-lès-Valence.
For three days, 375 exhibitors and 80 partners receive 21,000 visitors. The objective is to bring together in the same place students, professionals, researchers, young farmers, conventional farmers who want to move towards organic production, foreign players, to discuss the latest news and experiences. in organic farming.
The affair started very small. At the beginning, the followers of these methods were regarded as sweet dreamers. Then the concern for the quality of food on the side of the consumer, and the requirement of respect for the environment on the side of the citizen, all these developments have done the rest. And biocontrol continues to gain momentum.
