In 2023, a new robbery awaits subscribers to netflix. The streaming platform unveiled this Tuesday, February 7 the first images of Berlin, spin-off of La Casa de Papel centered on the character adored by fans. This new series will logically focus on the character played by Pedro Alonso. The first trailer tells us little about the synopsis of this series, but reveals the release date of the episodes: they are expected for December 2023.
For now, we know that this new series will focus on the years that Berlin was able to spend in Paris, which has already been the subject of flashbacks in season 2 of Money Heist. At the Berlin casting, Pedro Alonso takes over the role he played in La Casa de Papel. He will give the answer to a new band of thieves, composed of Michelle Jenner (Keila), Tristán Ulloa (Damián), Begoña Vargas (Cameron), Julio Peña (King) and Joel Sanchez (Bruce).
The plot of Berlin therefore takes place before La Casa de Papel, several years before the death of the protagonists. In this new series, the main character is not yet sick. It is therefore unlikely that these new episodes will reveal that this fan-favorite character is actually still alive and hidden, after the tragic end that we experienced in La Casa de Papel. However, we will have to wait until December to find out.
