Thanks to the use of immersive technology, the two structures allow direct and experiential interaction for all those who will cross the portals.

THEGATE2023 represents a door towards a virtual experience perfectly coexisting with the physical reality that surrounds it. The two portals are located in Matteotti square in Bergamo and in Piazza Vittoria in Brescia. The installation perfectly represents the Bergamo Brescia 2023 project, which leverages culture in a broad sense, not only as an artistic expression, but also as an expression of the value of local businesses and the ability to innovate, encouraging the growth of people and of communities.

THEGATE2023, of which BPER Bank is Main Sponsor And A2A Special Partnerswill be usable throughout the year ed will host a series of initiatives and projects able to combine artistic expression with the innovative use of the most advanced technologies.

The first example is UNREEL – A door to alternative realities, a review of digital art in public space, curated by Valentina Tanni, which is expressed through the production of videos, animations and digital renderings. The review brings to Bergamo and Brescia a selection of young international artists, of heterogeneous extraction and training, who share the fact of working with digital technology and the ability to tell a different reality through the tools and languages ​​of computer graphics, 3D modeling and of programming.

The portals bear the signature, as well as the Tree of Life created by Orgoglio Brescia on the occasion of Expo 2015, by the Milanese studio Giò Forma, which developed the creative concept. The installations are made by the Stargate BGBS 2023 Consortium, a consortium of 3 companies from Brescia and Bergamo: Fasternet, Sangalli Tecnologie and Slingofer.
