After a 21-year hiatus, it is time again for the SM in sports driving to take place in Strömsholm. Something Sylvia Meissl Johansson has been looking forward to. She is a competition leader at SM and chairman of the association Drive and Ride Mälardalen.
– It feels great fun. The whole team has been so excited about this, she says.
Thomas Hansson is a track builder and he worked hard before the championships. He has spent a lot of time sketching the tracks that the drivers will drive this weekend.
– We in the association have built all the obstacles ourselves. After all, they have sat in the chamber and sketched, both on precision and all the obstacles they have to go through, says Thomas Hansson.
Suitable for both young and old
Amanda Krogstad is a national team driver and represents the local club.
– I think it’s great fun that you can compete from young to very old. We have drivers who start when they are eight and we have national team drivers who are over 70, says Amanda Krogstad.
